www.snopes.com/photos/animals/luckycoyote.aspMeet the wiliest of all coyotes: Hit by a car at 75 mph, embedded in the fender, rode for 600 miles and SURVIVED! When a brother and sister struck a coyote at 75 mph they assumed they had killed the animal and drove on. They didn't realize this was the toughest creature ever to survive a hit-and-run. Eight hours, two fuel stops, and 600 miles later they found the wild animal embedded in their front fender - and very much alive.Follow the link for pics.

I saw that yesterday, too. Not only did he survive, but he came away with just a few cuts and bruises. The picture of him looking up from underneath the hood is adorable.

I have to admit, that's quite the tale. It's miraculous that the coyote survived. Go coyote!!

Wow! That's one tough coyote. There's a coyote in California who was hit by a car and survived and after being nursed back to health liked people so much she had to be kept in captivity. Adorable coyote, a little nervous around visitors until she gets used to them, but very friendly to people who work there. www.kirshner.org/?page=animal_bios

I know I'll cross some hairs but I really don't like coyotes. I saw a nature documentary about wolves being reintroduced into yellowstone and I cheered when they ripped a coyote to shreds.
They look cute under the hood but if they ever get near a family member's dog they will be attacked.
