I'm currently in the very time-consuming process of putting together a new set of Sandusky books. Unlike the last set which I asked everyone to pre-order, these ones will be available directly through the IndyPlanet website. The first set of books is still available through that site, as well. Just click on the "books" link at the top of my main website. You can also go to www.indyplanet.com and search for "Sandusky". The plan is to have two 50 page books of "daily" strips in vivid greyscale , plus a third book of 90 pages containing Sandusky's Rocky Mountain adventure in full color. There is a reason behind having two 50 page books, rather than one 100 page book, and it has to do with cover formatting and strip legibility. Any explanation beyond that would take too long. I haven't yet decided on pricing for the books, but I'd have to guess that the black and white books will cost around $4 each, while the big color book will cost around $16. I may also offer a black and white version for $8, but I'm not sure yet. I will update this thread once the books are ready, which I'm hoping isn't too far in the future. In the meantime, feel free to post any questions or comments about the books here.

Oh how neat As soon as I get a job i'd love to get a hold of your new books with your current art. Also John, have you considered printing books in bulk as well? I've thought of it after getting enough views. Still working on my buffer. Because as of right now ka-blam has super high printing charges if you manage to sell 1000+ copies. The big pro with indyplanet however is the order fulfillment and low cost to startup.

My first set of books was printed "in bulk" through Ka-Blam. Because it was my first order, I got a fairly hefty discount, so I figured I would pre-order everything and pass the savings on to my readers. However, this one is no longer my first order, so it's now the same production price no matter how many I order. As for printing things in bulk, I can't see myself selling enough of these to make it profitable. I've checked into Lulu, but their prices seem to be considerably higher than those of Ka-Blam/IndyPlanet. Of course, I'm always open for suggestions, if you've looked into options you think might work for me.

I'm just waiting to get my personal copies of the books before I go ahead and put them up for sale online. That should be within the next two weeks, if all goes well.
The format has changed just a bit from my original post. There will be two books now, rather than three. One will be the Rocky Mountain storyline (in full color), and the other (in greyscale) will be the strips from just after the first set of books up until the Rocky Mountain storyline. I was going to split that second order up into two separate books, but I found it to be plenty legible at the smaller scale. That will make it a bit cheaper and a little less of a pain in the butt to order.
Rocky Mountain Lion will be 92 pages long, and From Dusker Till Dawn will be 104 pages long. I don't have any firm pricing numbers yet, but I'm guessing the whole package will run around $30 (including tax and shipping).

OK, the books are now available! Finally. The final prices are $7.99 for "From Dusker Till Dawn" and $17.99 for "Rocky Mountain Lion". For more information and to purchase, you can use these links... From Dusker Till Dawn - www.indyplanet.com/index.php?id=2494Rocky Mountain Lion - www.indyplanet.com/index.php?id=2472With shipping, the total cost for both books should be just over $31. That's within the US, of course. Shipping charges for international orders would vary. Please note that the original list price for "Rocky Mountain Lion" was $18.99. I bumped it down another dollar to $17.99 (the suggested price had been $20.50), but, as of this posting, those changes had not yet been processed. I don't know how long that may take, but be sure and wait until the price goes down before you put your order in. If you do buy it for $18.99, I'll be happy to refund you the extra dollar out of my own pocket. Also, once the changes have been processed, the books will be visible through the "books" link on my main page. I will also eventually have a link posted where the Cougar Fund donation drive currently resides.

Oooh, the books I ordered have finally shipped - though, it took Indyplanet nearly two weeks to actually ship them. Anyhow, hopefully, they'll be here soon.

The books are here - and they look really good to me! More professional than with the last printing method, I love the flat backs and more glossy covers. The comic is good, too, of course... especially the one in colour, no wonder it was twice as expensive. Like the extras too. *settles down to read*

Glad to hear the books arrived. And, yes, the quality is much improved over the last set.
IndyPlanet is usually a bit quicker than what you experienced. There was a big comic book convention in Chicago recently, and they were extremely backed up because of it. Then, of course, the majority of the staff went to that convention. Then, for good measure, they decided to move their company to a new office over the following week or two. I'm not sure if they're entirely settled yet, but hopefully things will move faster for the rest of the people who have ordered the books (all five of them).

I can say that my books got here yesterday about a week after I ordered. Half that courtesy of the post office.

That's good to hear. And it's much closer to what I had expected with regards to a turn around time from IndyPlanet.

Hi Just wondering if anybody else is having issues with indyplanet? I placed my order over 2 weeks ago for the Sandusky comics and it still says it's processing. I tried emailing them twice and still have not gotten a response.

Have you gotten any response yet? They're typically pretty good about getting stuff out, but sometimes they have conflicts with big comic book conventions, etc. If you still haven't received an update, I'll try contacting them myself to see what the issue might be. Thanks for the purchase! edit: Sorry for the slow response on my part. I'm usually pretty quick when it comes to replying, but, every once in a while, something slips below the radar screen.
